Staff spotlight – Jasmin Smith

In the first of a new monthly feature, we’re going to be meeting some of our team members and discover more about the roles that they do.

First up is Jasmin Smith, a trainee designer, who has been with the business since January 2022.

Jasmin, 23, from East Kilbride gained a First-Class BA Honours Degree in New Media Art, and HND in Visual Communications giving her the perfect platform from which to embark upon her career in packaging design.

Jasmin commented; “Constructional design and corrugated packaging design appealed the most to me because of the technical challenges and problem solving that comes with this area of design. I have always had a great interest in packaging design as well, so when I saw the role advertised, I knew it would be perfect for me.

“It’s a great role as I love that every day, I am learning something new, and really getting a great understanding of the business and how design is such an integral part of what we do. I’m hoping that I have a great career ahead of me here – I’m very driven and hope that I will be able to develop my role with the business.”

The design team at Boxshop is where initial concepts are created, new solutions are engineered, and the full potential of corrugated as a packaging material is constantly challenged and explored.
