Staff spotlight – Alison Menzies

Sometimes learning about a business is best done by experiencing a variety of different roles, and that is how Alison Menzies, one of our key account managers, has developed her career with us.

Alison joined the business in 2015 and since then has worked in estimating, production, and customer services before taking on the role of Key Account Manager in the summer of 2019.

Now, Alison takes care of existing customers and works to secure new ones helping them to discover how corrugated can support their business packaging needs.

A graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University Alison has a degree in Management, Technology and Enterprise, skills which have been incredibly useful in her career with Boxshop.

Alison commented: “Boxshop is a great place to work; great people and a job which is ever-changing. I still really enjoy the variety that it brings, and it’s been a real delight to be back visiting customers in person a little more. Corrugated has never been so important for fulfilling packaging needs, and working with customers to help them discover the benefits that choosing corrugated can bring to their business and working on new projects is equally rewarding.”

Away from corrugated Alison loves exploring the wilds of Scotland with her partner Paul and their dogs, and has a particular liking for Prosecco, Afternoon tea, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (books and films) in equal measure!
