Having just gone through a significant investment project, to support ongoing growth of The Boxshop, we are looking for the right individual to join our Design Team.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for producing bespoke packaging solutions for a diverse range of customers. You will be familiar with CAD software and production processes and will be responsible for determining which machine routings deliver the most cost effective and technically capable solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
\u00b7 Managing customer enquiries.
\u00b7 Developing solutions using CAD software.
\u00b7 Developing and defining briefs originating from both clients and colleagues.
\u00b7 Liaising with other departments and customers to ensure designs meet expectations and are compatible with manufacturing capabilities.
\u00b7 Creating technical dimensional drawings.
\u00b7 Creating prototype samples from a wide range of corrugated board grades.
\u00b7 Raising specifications within the business system.
\u00b7 Working to strict deadlines whilst ensuring attention to detail is maintained.
\u00b7 Ensuring safe working practices are followed and maintained within the department in line with Health & Safety policies.
Skills:
Good PC skills essential.
High level of comprehension and aptitude for learning.
Ability to think creatively.
Ability to work to a high standard under pressure and cope with fluctuating demand.
Proactive and \u201cCan do\u201d attitude.
Job details:
37.5 hours per week, hours TBD based on suitability and company requirements.
