Based in East Kilbride, The Boxshop is Scotland’s leading manufacturer of corrugated cases with a reputation for quality and excellent levels of service built over more than thirty years.

Having just gone through a significant investment project, to support ongoing growth of The Boxshop, we are looking for the right individual to join our Design Team.

Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for producing bespoke packaging solutions for a diverse range of customers. You will be familiar with CAD software and production processes and will be responsible for determining which machine routings deliver the most cost effective and technically capable solution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Managing customer enquiries.

· Developing solutions using CAD software.

· Developing and defining briefs originating from both clients and colleagues.

· Liaising with other departments and customers to ensure designs meet expectations and are compatible with manufacturing capabilities.

· Creating technical dimensional drawings.

· Creating prototype samples from a wide range of corrugated board grades.

· Raising specifications within the business system.

· Working to strict deadlines whilst ensuring attention to detail is maintained.

· Ensuring safe working practices are followed and maintained within the department in line with Health & Safety policies.

Skills:

Good PC skills essential.

High level of comprehension and aptitude for learning.

Ability to think creatively.

Ability to work to a high standard under pressure and cope with fluctuating demand.

Proactive and “Can do” attitude.

Job details:

37.5 hours per week, hours TBD based on suitability and company requirements.
